Writing a long serial, currently past thirty chapters. The hard part of a long story is not chapter one — it is still remembering, at chapter thirty, what you buried at chapter five.

Writing long-form with AI

The story is split into a set of documents that can be looked up, rather than asking a model to dump prose in one go:

• Master outline: overall direction, the power system and the central conflict.
• Act and volume milestones: where each act has to land and how volumes connect.
• Foreshadowing ledger: what each seed is, which chapter it was planted in and where it is meant to pay off. You will forget, so it has to be searchable.
• Writing engine and style: fixes the narrative rhythm and voice so chapters written months apart read like the same author.
• Relationship-arc handbook: the pacing of the romance is defined separately, so it neither rushes into implausibility nor stalls.
• Decision log: every setting change records what changed and why, otherwise past revisions become indistinguishable later.

Writing personas

A persona (SKILL.md) is distilled from each reference work, and the right one is attached when that particular voice is needed — instead of re-describing the style every time.

Where it stands

The main text keeps updating and the documentation grows alongside it. The outline was not written once; it grows a chapter at a time.
